Time To Let Out the Hog in Me.

Okay, so here is the first blog entry and to be honest, I feel a whole lot of pressure to make this funny and entertaining–perhaps its that high standard that I constantly set for myself, that if this isn’t the best goddamn Philippine blog out there, I will feel like an absolute failure.

I better get used to that feeling then.  And whats funny is that it is the feeling of “failure” that gave me the reason to start this blog.  I’ve been feeling a bit down and lonely this week.  For four nights I’ve been dreaming the same dream and each time I wake up, I’m hijacked by a really empty feeling.  The typical solution I have used in the past is escape.  I’ll fly to another country, do some travel alone, and come back missing what most people would call a “pretty kick-ass life” here in Manila.  So, I’m trying something new.  Maybe if I start a blog, treat it like a journal or a diary (dudes dont keep diaries so forget that i said that), it can mimic a sense of escape and i’ll feel a little better.  So again, here it is. Time to do what I do best–-and that's research, present, explain, complain–-and if this doesnt work, I still booked a flight to New York for Christmas.  Its time to let out the motherfuckin’ hog in me.

Hi Mo,
Conratulation! for your new web site. I think if there is a person who is absolutely qualified for blogging is you. Because what is the sense of your title as "Philippines Genius" if your thoughts and ideas will not be documented in a web site like this. Well, Mo My only suggestion and hopefully you would consider it, is putting your every day morning show "Good Times With Mo" here in your site as well. Because I strongly believe that i am not alone in this thoughts, for sure there are millions of your followers want to hear your morning show over and over. I know that there are some site that uploading your show every day, but the quality is kind da mediocre class, which I don't think a radio show like yours deserves. Just keep it up Mo, don't let your lonely dreams ruin your day. One last thing , I don't know if I have the authority to tell you this, but I will say it anyway. i think the emptiness that you are dealing with right now is a part of your being single at the age of 30. Well, Mo Just stop being super choosey and look around, for sure that there are countless women to be your girl. Good luck in this site!

sincerely, idolizing you
Dani of Chicago Il

Well, that form of being 'down' is the reason why we'd strive to go 'up'. And perhaps, I believe that you'll get just a more a little bit more of that from this blog of yours.
And besides, writing posts could be a very effective form of catharsis, something that a person like you would really need every now and then. So good luck with this blog... I hope this does become one of the best, if not the best, Philippine blog out here.
God bless you, Mo!
One of your most avid listeners here.

Good times. :)

i'm a freshman in college in UST. I'd just like to inform you that last semester, June-October, i failed 4 of my subjects because of your goddamn gtwm show. i blame your show mo. I got fucking hooked on listening to you 3 there at the station that i didn't go anymore to my 6-8 oclock class everyday but friday. I dropped them immediately after they informed me i got an FA (failure due to absences) in their subjects. and now it's the start of the 2nd semester. fortunately, i dont have absences yet. pretty cool. so there, i hope you can keep up with the blogging life and god bless you and your two sidekicks, the boobs aand the brains.

p.s. please gimme your yankee cap.
thanks.

Mo-- I just love you and your blog. Just heard the interview that you did with Hillary Clinton and the questions were really awesome. Clinton was rite-- you have an excellent interview technique. Just goooood art of questioning you got there Mo.

Having been praised by Hillary Clinton herself's indeed a good form of flattery.

Keep us posted!

Love reading your tweets. And now that you finally have a blog, my life just got even better. More power to you, Mo Twister!

November 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterHi Mo.

About time you had your own blog, Mo. With all those ideas in your head, it would do me (and thousands out there) good to have something like this document them just to keep up!

Mo, I noticed your nice sweater on your header photo. I believe we're of the same size and height and I wonder if you'll be generous enough to send me it. :D

I've been trying to start a journal for the longest time but I can't seem to make it a habit. I start with like 1 or 2 entries then my interest just slips away. Maybe a Blog would be nice, thanks for the idea Mo. Kudos.
