Food Blog: The Best Of Fastfood

Most food blogs concentrate on hidden restaurants, exceptional ambience, excellent deals, speciality dishes, etc. As this is my first entry regarding food, I thought I'd like to focus on the type of food I/we eat most of--fastfood! What are your favorite fastfood chains, which specific burgers, who has the best french fries, and desserts? Let me start with my choices, my favorites:
Burgers: McDonalds (8-MCDO). No matter what you do at home or at a bbq, you cannot mimic the taste of a McDonalds burger. The Quarter Pounder with Cheese and the Double Cheeseburger are the tastiest on their menu while the Burger McDo is absolute shit, stay away from it. My absolute problem with McDo is that they have no burger that features bacon. What the hell are these people thinking? A lesser known place with excellent burgers is Charlie's, located in Barangay Kapitolyo. Their Angus Beef burger with bacon is stellar, unfortunately there aren't multiple branches so if you arent in the Pasig area, it's a pain in the ass.
Pizza: Brooklyn Pizza (633-9999) Is there any reason to go to Shakey's aside from their mojo potatoes? Is Pizza Hut even still around? Yellow Cab has great sides like their Charlie Chan pastas, but for pizza, of the major players, I'm going with Brooklyn Pizza. Great lesser known pizza is Taste of L.A. on Tomas Morato and Roces Ave. in QC. Brick oven, delicious.
French Fries: I'm going with McDonalds again on this one. It's usually salted perfectly and they like throwing in the Twister edition or the Shakers every so often. The KFC fries also are an honorable mention (especially the Australian KFC's, if we were in Sydney right now, KFC wins this). Burger King has criss-cut fries right now that aren't bad either.
Dessert: Wendy's Frosty. I could eat 4 of these m-effers in one sitting.
Chicken: KFC, not even close. Kenny Rogers had a bit of a successful run but it was like the Suncell of chicken, niche market.
What's the best of the best in fastfood according to you? Please keep it local. I know you guys in America have In N' Out Burgers which is the best goddamn burger the world has ever known. Too bad Carl's Jr is no longer around here either. No offense Jollibee, good stuff but just not the best in any one category.

My choices are all based on healthy eating, well... as healthy as burgers go! Wendy's is healthiest because it's grilled. BK (flame-broiled)used to be great UNTIL they cut out the Veggie Burger. And Good Burger, surprisingly, is GOOD!
Go for Sango burgers. They are delicious and worth the money.
French Fries: Mcdo for same reason.
Burgers: hmm, I'll say Burger King. I like the way they have a "balanced burger", with veggies other than pickles. They love to give special promos too, like the time they had a buy 1 take 1 whopper jr. plus the option to have barbecue sauce instead of mayo, that was heaven!. Mcdo comes a close second for me.
Chicken: Chickenjoy for me! haha I know KFC has the BEST TASTING chicken but most often than not, they serve really small pieces. Parang you really have to order two pieces para masarapan. I like the way Jollibee is consistent with the size of their chicken, plus juicy talaga..
Desert: Mcdonald's Mcflurry, and Jollibee's Sundae. The Mcflurry is like a cheaper version of Dairy Queen's Oreo Blizzard, then ang thick ng hot fudge ng sundae ng Jollibee, just the way I like it...
Let me add another category, Spaghetti. It's a tie between Jollibee and KFC for me, they taste different from each other pero theyr'e both the best! Masarap yung Jollibee because meaty talaga and madami, then yung KFC naman is a little on the creamy side.
Overall I choose Kenny Rogers.
McDonald's burger all the way! i would have to agree that their quarter-pounder and double cheeseburger is yummy! any plain burger, i.e., cheese-less, is not good for me. This applies to all burgers, unless it's bbq-flavored. Basta, McDo talaga! Jollibee has the worst burgers for me.
Mo how could you forget Wendy's burgers? I'd take a steaming (okay maybe not really) piece of Bacon Mushroom Melt over a Quarter Pounder anytime. And while I know it doesn't count, Chicken McNuggets deserve a special mention. Prime fastfood fare.:)
And Hot Fudge Sundae for dessert! There was a time when my brain practically exploded 'cause McDo came up with the Oreo Sundae, but those days are gone now.:(

For burgers, it's a toss between McDo Quarter Pounder and Wendy's Bacon Mushroom Melt.. although the latter burger size shrunk a lot compared to maybe 10 years ago. You are right!!! Burger McDo IS the worst!!! The 1st and last time I ate it was when it was launched. Never again.. Yuck!
For fries, it's definitely KFC =) fat and tasty! Mmm why it sounded a bit vulgar haha but portions are always not enough.. KFC shoud have Biggie portions like Wendys..
For sundaes, it's Burger King for me!! Strawberry topping, love so much =) Jollibee sundae tastes like Nido milk... Yuck!! Mcdo is okay but they dont have strawberry.. McDo Caramel sundae comes 2nd for me
For onion rings, it should have been Carl's Jr but too bad...
For pizza, it's D' Marks.. but issit fastfood? Then it's Monster Pizza =) huge size and can combine 4 different flavors on one giant pizza! As far as I know, it's only available for delivery...
For chicken, nothing beats the Original Recipe KFC! I want to eat a whole bucket while watching a movie =)
All these are best with Coca-cola.. not Pepsi heehee
Pizza: I love Yellow Cab....well honestly, I haven't tasted Brooklyn Pizza...I must try their pizza....^^,
Burgers: I'm going for subway on this one....
Dessert: Hmmm...this is hard for me because I don't usually order dessert when eating out but uhh....I'm going with McDonald's Mcflurry.....he wins by default....LOL
Chicken : Hmmmm...KFC.....because I love the spicy chicken together and the gravy...

wow so nice! crew before at Jollibee and Wendy's,. (bagi ako maging tsismosa,joke) Great hambuger Wendy's (BCB,bacon cheeseburger,.yummy) try spicy chicken fillet too with mayo! argg kagutom.. fries,. Mcdo and KFC.

Mcdo for chicken. Gravy ng KFC :) Pizza hut basta pizza talo talo nah :)

For burgers, try Brother's Burger. The best I've tasted dude.
For pizza also Brooklyn Pizza is heaven! I love their cheese pizza and oh have tried PizzaNiro 30 freakin inch pizza!
Burgers has to be Brother's Burger or Carl's Jr. Too bad Carl's Jr went extinct. :-\
I agree with the fries! McDo and KFC! Did you know that McDo deep fries their fries in hog and chicken fat?? Yum!
I read an article about Charlie's and ever since then, I so want to go and have a taste, but for now, I'm sticking with Wham! Burgers. It's probably not like Charlie's but its way better then Mcdonald's.
Frosty of Wendy's, yeah, that's definitely one of a kind, but for Fries, i want to go either with Wham!'s or KFC. I honestly think that the Twister Fries of Mcdo's just plain oily. I used to love it when I was a kid, but now, it's not worth my money anymore.
Charlie's Black Angus Burger with Bacon is truly EPIC, but an underdog when it comes to competing with Brother's Burger, WHAM! Burger, & HotShots. I'm from Kapitolyo, & i think i'm gaining too much weight because of it. :P With Pizza, i'd say NYPD is an honorable mention. I think they used beer batter in addition to the dough of their pizza. Me & my girl went crazy with it even though it was a thin-ass pizza.

I'm fr the bay area visiting and just recently ff you at Twitter and I say I agree with you In&out is STILL is the best burger,too bad they are family owned and don't do franchising.
I also like Jack in the box for their pure Angus beef burger.
McDonalds Mushroom burger (I haven't been to one locally yet,so I don't know if its avail. here).
KFC's grilled chicken just bec. everybody's into this healthy eatingy so less fat and oil they use (again,I don't know if they have it here as well).
Subway bec.of their promo $5 footlong (pronounced it as fa dolla),its healthy all natural and love their dressings.
Chicago Pizza is my choice,with their deep dish pizza,yum.
Hmm was wondering Mo, jollibee didn't even make it to have one of their food items reviewed? Like chickenjoy or peach-mango pie? Or there hasn't been any Pinoy palate in you anymore? Cheers!
Pizza: Yellow Cab.. I just love Manhattan Meat Lover.. cholesterol supreme.. haha!
Chicken: KFC..Spicy chicken is the way to go with that savory gravy.. I can throw out some Hot Shots too..
Potato side dish: I really don't prefer French Fries for side dish, Mojos from Shakey's is the best along with those sauce.
Burger: Brother's Burger.. Blues Brother!! I love their bacon!
Dessert: Ice Cream Crepes from The Podium.. forgot their store, but they sure make 'em good ice cream crepes...

Mcdo really has the best fries, and jollibee has the worst (kamote tasting fries).

i always get itchy chicken skin after eating jollibee chicken joy! Why s that? Hmmm
